My name is Beatriz Rodriguez and I base my practice in Miami, Fl. I make paintings that depict disorienting landscapes that are a product of the transcendent experience that takes place when invisible forces influence their surroundings. The paintings depict this trough displaced sources of lights, shadows, shapes, patterns, layers of paint, collage and various types of mixed media processes.
I graduated with a BFA in painting from New World School of the Arts in 2017. I went on to have a few groups shows such as Unbound BFA showcase at CIFO, a group show at Mindy Solomon Gallery, Nature on the Edge of Urban and Every day is summer. I attended my first residency in 2018 at the Rockland residency in Seattle, Washington and had a panel discussion on the transient/transcendent experience. In 2021, I was part of Studio Visit Magazine, volumes 47/48.
